It was deeply offensive and insulting in too many occasions.

I walk there now, so this isn’t a problem for me but it can be frustrating for drivers.

It’s been a blessing having a T&T in Richmond (finally) that is close to me. They have such a wide variety of things. They also sell hot foods and meal combos such as 2 items plus rice (and soup) is about 7.99. They have a noodle stations and sushi area. And a small area with seats!

One of two Richmond locations. Near Olympic Oval. Neighbouring BMO branch. Bakery, and live seafood sections available. Cooked food canteen available. Outdoor seating. Carries small appliances, including rice cooker. Free underground parking.

This is a great T&T location. Clean, well laid out and carries all kinds of Asian specialty foods. It's one of my favourite places to go grocery shopping in Richmond. The parking lot is a bit tight, but that's just poor building design, not any fault of the store. There is plenty of parking, so just park away from the door, and it should be easy to find a spot.

One of their newer branches. Fresh seafood, sushi and ready-to-eat section. Eat-in seating area available, even has patio seating. Underground parking quite troublesome with limited spaces and tight driving aisles. Store also sells household items and kitchen appliances such as rice cookers and water boilers. Grocery baskets with wheels and carts available for customer use. Store acessible via ramp and 2 elevators.

Basically it’s the go to place as everything is fresh. My only complaint is parking. It really sucks and is difficult going in, parking and coming out.

I personally like shopping for Asian ingredients there, but the staff are ignorant and discriminating. If it were a small family own business, it would be more understandable that the staff night not speak English well, but this is a huge business. To join a team of business of this size, it is expected to provide the staff with proper training; and because English is the official language in Canada, it is absolute necessity that the staff can at least speak some English. Too many times that I asked the staff, specifically in the butcher station, they did not understand a word I said. Also--since I look Oriental--they would insist on spraking Chinese to me as if they just didn't care. The attitude was like: speak Chinese or get lost.

    Discrimination at its worst.

2 stars are for the stuff they got there, and--most of the time--wonderful and friendly cashiers who actually would try to speak English; at least replied in English when spoken to.
